Yanmar 6LYA-STP: 370 hp (272 kW) at 3300 rpm, 5.184-litre turbocharged six-cylinder marine diesel, the 2000s successor of the 6LYA-STE.

The 6LYA-STP is the 2000s pleasure rating of Yanmar's 5.184-litre (100 x 110 mm) 6LYA six-cylinder, succeeding the 350 hp 6LYA-STE. It is rated 272 kW (370 mhp) at 3300 rpm to ISO 3046-1, or 264 kW (359 mhp) at the ISO 8665 condition. Yanmar's 2002 catalogue describes a turbocharger with intercooler and an angle marine gear as standard, with a bare-engine option. Yanmar Europe later offered Kanzaki KMH60A/61A gears.

It was sold alongside the 5.8-litre 6LY2A-STP (440 hp). Yanmar Europe was labelling it 'Previous Model' by 2015.
