2QM15
The Yanmar 2QM15 is a 0.662-litre two-cylinder, raw-water-cooled marine diesel rated 15 hp at 3000 rpm, with an integral reverse-reduction gear. It is an older sailboat auxiliary from before Yanmar's GM series.
The 2QM15 is the smallest of Yanmar's QM series of low-speed marine diesels (2QM15, 2QM20, 3QM30). It is a vertical four-stroke with a pre-combustion chamber, 75 x 75 mm bore and stroke, seawater cooling by rubber-impeller pump, and electric and manual starting. Its built-in reduction gear uses a wet multi-disc mechanical clutch.
Two reduction ratios were offered: 2.14:1 on the 2QM15 and 2.83:1 on the 2QM15G. Yanmar's lighter, faster-revving GM series later took over this role.
