3GM30F
The Yanmar 3GM30F is the freshwater-cooled version of the 3GM30: a 0.954-litre three-cylinder marine diesel rated 27 hp (20.1 kW) at 3600 rpm with a heat exchanger. It was a common sailboat auxiliary, sold with a KM3P or KM2P gear, a V-drive or a saildrive.
The 3GM30 is the three-cylinder engine of Yanmar's GM10 generation, replacing the original 3GM/3GMD with a larger 75 mm bore (75 x 72 mm, 0.954 L versus 0.879 L). It is a vertical four-stroke with a swirl pre-combustion chamber. The F version adds a closed freshwater cooling circuit with heat exchanger and has electric starting only; rating is the same as the seawater-cooled 3GM30.
It was sold with the KM3P (or KM2P) reverse gear, as the 3GM30FV with the KM3V V-drive, and as the 3GM30FC with the SD20 saildrive. It was succeeded by the 3YM30 in the mid-2000s.
