4JH3-HTE
JH3-generation Yanmar diesel: turbocharged and intercooled 1.995 L inline four rated 100 hp at 3800 rpm.
The JH3 series (1999 to mid-2000s) moved to an 84 x 90 mm bore and stroke: 1.496 L for the three-cylinder 3JH3E and 1.995 L for the four-cylinder models, rated at 3800 rpm. Yanmar marketed it as lighter and quieter than the JH2 and compliant with the EU BSO emission rules. Package letters in the code denote the drive: B = KM3A/KM4A down-angle gear, T = KBW21 parallel gear (turbo models), H = KMH4A hydraulic down-angle gear, C = saildrive.
The 4JH3-HTE adds an intercooler to the TE. It was offered with KBW21 parallel gear, KM4A down-angle (4JH3-HTBE) or KMH4A hydraulic down-angle gear (4JH3-HTHE); no saildrive version.
It was replaced by the 110 hp 4JH4-HTE.
