2GM20F
The Yanmar 2GM20F is the freshwater-cooled version of the 2GM20: a 0.636-litre two-cylinder marine diesel rated 18 hp (13.4 kW) at 3600 rpm, with a heat exchanger in place of direct seawater cooling. It was a common sailboat auxiliary, sold with a KM2P gear, a V-drive or a saildrive.
The 2GM20 is the two-cylinder engine of Yanmar's GM10 generation, which replaced the original 2GM with a larger 75 mm bore (75 x 72 mm, 0.636 L versus 0.586 L). It is a vertical four-stroke with a swirl pre-combustion chamber and electric starting with a manual fallback. The F version adds a closed freshwater circuit with heat exchanger and has electric starting only; output is identical to the seawater-cooled 2GM20.
It was sold with the KM2P reverse gear (ratios 2.21, 2.62 or 3.22:1), as the 2GM20FV with a KM3V V-drive, and as the 2GM20FC with the SD20 saildrive. It was replaced by the YM series in the mid-2000s.
