Yanmar 6LY-STE: 350 hp (257 kW) at 3300 rpm, 5.184-litre turbocharged six-cylinder marine diesel, the higher rating of the first 6LY generation.
The 6LY-STE was the high-output rating of Yanmar's original 6LY, a 5.184-litre (100 x 110 mm) six-cylinder pleasure-craft diesel of the mid 1990s, sold alongside the 315 hp 6LY-UTE. The 6LYM-STE was the version without a marine gear.
It was replaced by the 6LYA-STE at the same 350 hp. That engine was later re-rated as the 370 hp 6LYA-STP, and the 5.8-litre 6LY2 was added above it.
