1GM10
The Yanmar 1GM10 is a 0.318-litre single-cylinder, raw-water-cooled marine diesel rated 9 hp (6.6-6.7 kW) at 3600 rpm. It is a small sailboat auxiliary sold with a KM2P gear for shaft drive or with a saildrive, and is still listed by Yanmar.
The 1GM10 is the single-cylinder member of the GM10 generation (1GM10, 2GM20, 3GM30, 3HM35) that replaced the original 1GM. Compared with the 1GM it has a larger 75 mm bore (75 x 72 mm, 0.318 L versus 0.293 L). It is a four-stroke with swirl pre-combustion chamber and direct seawater cooling by a rubber-impeller pump; no freshwater-cooled version was offered. Starting is electric with a manual (hand-crank) fallback.
It outlived its multi-cylinder siblings, which gave way to the YM series in the mid-2000s: Yanmar still sells the 1GM10 as its smallest leisure diesel. Shaft installations use the KM2-C gear in early documentation and the KM2P / KM2P-1 in later ones; the saildrive version (1GM10C) used the SD20, and current literature pairs it with the SD25.
