Yanmar Marine engine

4LHA-HTP

Yanmar 4LHA-HTP: 160 hp (118 kW) at 3300 rpm, 3.455-litre turbocharged, intercooled four-cylinder marine diesel, the lowest 4LHA-P rating.

The 4LHA-P ratings (4LHA-HTP, 4LHA-DTP, 4LHA-STP) are the second, longer-running generation of Yanmar's 3.455-litre four-cylinder marine diesel, with turbocharger, intercooler and fresh-water cooling. They were sold as bare engines for shaft installation with Kanzaki KMH50A or ZF gears (Yanmar's own drawings show KMH50A and ZF68A, and older leaflets ZF45A and ZF63A). As the -ZP versions they were prepared for MerCruiser Bravo One, Two or Three sterndrives.

The HTP replaced the 150 hp 4LHA-HTE. It is the lightest of the three, at 342 kg dry without gear against 365 kg for the DTP and STP. Its current Yanmar page lists a VE rotary injection pump, where the DTP and STP use an in-line pump. The sterndrive version is the 4LHA-HTZP.
