6LPA-STP2
Yanmar 6LPA-STP2: 315 hp (232 kW) at 3800 rpm, 4.164-litre turbocharged, intercooled six-cylinder marine diesel, the later version of the 6LPA-STP that Yanmar still lists.
The 6LPA-STP2 is the updated form of the 6LPA-STP: the same 94 x 100 mm six-cylinder, belt-cam, four-valve engine at the same 232 kW (315 mhp) at 3800 rpm and 408 kg dry weight. Yanmar's current page lists two-stage injection and EPA Tier 2, IMO Tier 2 and RCD 1 certification. No Yanmar statement of what else changed from the STP was found.
Yanmar Marine International offers it for shaft drive with Kanzaki KMH50A (angle) or KMH50V (V-drive) gears or ZF63A. As the 6LPA-STZP2 it is prepared for MerCruiser Bravo One/Two/Three sterndrives or Yanmar's own ZT370 sterndrive. A commercial rating, the 6LPA-STC, shares the product page and is not covered here.
