Yanmar Marine engine

4JH5E

In production 2010–present

JH5-generation Yanmar diesel: naturally aspirated 2.19 L inline four rated 54 hp (53.8 mhp) at 3000 rpm.

The JH5 series (about 2010) updated the naturally aspirated JH4 engines with a new fuel system (mono-plunger pump) and combustion system for EPA Tier 2 / RCD compliance, keeping the same 88 mm-bore blocks and 3000 rpm rated speed. They sold alongside the turbo 4JH4-TE/HTE until the common-rail JH-CR engines arrived.

The 4JH5E replaced the 4JH4AE and was offered with KM35P, ZF30M, KM35A2 and KM4A1 gears or the SD50 saildrive. Its common-rail successors are the 4JH45 and 4JH57.
