D6-370
The Volvo Penta D6-370 is a first-generation D6 inboard rated 272 kW (370 hp) at 3500 rpm. Despite sitting near the top of the range it is turbocharged only, with no supercharger.
The D6-370 was announced in August 2004 as the shaft-drive counterpart to the supercharged D6-350 sterndrive, and became the highest-output gen-1 D6 shaft rating until the D6-435 arrived above it. It is worth noting that the D6-370 does not carry the belt-driven compressor: Volvo Penta's product sheet lists only a freshwater-cooled turbocharger in the air inlet and exhaust section, so all 370 hp comes from the turbo and aftercooler. Volvo Penta supplied it with the HS80AE or HS80IVE hydraulically shifted reverse gear, V-drive available, plus EVC electronic shift and throttle and the e-key. Superseded with the rest of gen-1 D6 by the 2021 refresh.
