The Volvo Penta D6-380 is the 380 hp rating of the D6, a 5.5-litre six-cylinder common-rail turbodiesel for sterndrive and inboard installations.
The D6-380 is a mid rating of Volvo Penta's D6 family, a 5.5-litre in-line six-cylinder common-rail turbodiesel offered as an Aquamatic sterndrive or inboard package. Boats offered with it include the Targa 27.2 and 30.1 as singles and the Targa 32 as a twin. A first-generation D6-380 also existed, rated 280 kW (380 hp) at 3500 rpm on Volvo Penta's 04-2019 DPH sheet; the figures here are the post-2021 engine.
