The Volvo Penta D6-440 is the 440 hp rating of the D6, a 5.5-litre six-cylinder common-rail turbodiesel for sterndrive and inboard installations.
The D6-440 is an upper rating of Volvo Penta's D6 family, a 5.5-litre in-line six-cylinder common-rail turbodiesel offered as an Aquamatic sterndrive or inboard package. It is one of the most common engines in the current Targa range — a single option in the 27.2, 30.1 and 32, and the standard twin installation in the Targa 41 and 46.
