D6-330
The Volvo Penta D6-330 is a first-generation D6 inboard rated 243 kW (330 hp) at 3500 rpm, turbocharged and aftercooled without a supercharger. It was the top non-supercharged shaft rating in the gen-1 range.
The D6-330 replaced the D6-310 in the middle of the gen-1 D6 shaft line-up, keeping the 5.5-litre inline-six architecture, common-rail injection and single freshwater-cooled turbocharger while adding power and torque. Volvo Penta's data sheet lists it against the HS63AE, HS63IVE, HS80AE and HS80IVE reverse gears with V-drive available, EVC electronic shift and throttle, and compliance with IMO NOx, EU RCD and US EPA Tier 3. It is the highest gen-1 shaft rating that still does without the belt-driven compressor. The generation was replaced by the 2021 D6 refresh.
