Nord Star 36+

In production 2022–present

The Nord Star 36+ is a Finnish all-season walkaround pilothouse sport cruiser, the largest hardtop model in Nord Star's current '+' generation, built by Linex-Boat Oy in Kokkola. Around 12.3 m LOA with a 3.6 m beam and a GRP hull, it carries a two-to-three-cabin interior for four to five overnight guests and is driven by twin Volvo Penta diesel sterndrives, with options from 2 x D4-270 up to 2 x D6-440 for a top speed of about 43 knots. An optional flybridge version, the 36+ Fly, is sold as a separate model.

The Nord Star 36+ sits at the top of the hardtop boats in Nord Star's contemporary '+' range, produced by the family-owned Finnish builder Linex-Boat Oy of Kokkola. The manufacturer describes it as a walk-around cabin sport cruiser with modern design and a luxurious interior, emphasising an enclosed heated wheelhouse and side decks that allow walk-around access to the foredeck — the all-season Finnish layout intended for use in cold, exposed northern waters as well as warmer cruising grounds.

The manufacturer's specification lists a length overall of 12.3 m, a beam of 3.6 m, a dry weight of about 8,000 kg, and a deep-V hull with an 18.5-degree deadrise. Nord Star quotes a maximum installed power of 650 kW and a top speed of around 43 knots. Tankage is given as 760 L fuel and 215 L fresh water with a 140 L holding tank, although a YachtBuyer listing instead quotes 665 L fuel, so tank figures should be re-checked against the current sheet.

Accommodation is arranged over two to three cabins with a berth layout the builder writes as '2+2(+1)' and a heads/toilet compartment. Construction is GRP hull and superstructure. Propulsion is twin diesel sterndrive (Volvo Penta DPI duoprop, or Yanmar), with options spanning Volvo Penta D4-270, D4-300, D4-320, D6-340, D6-380, D6-400 and D6-440, plus a twin Yanmar 8LV370; the twin D6-440 corresponds to the builder's stated 650 kW maximum. The 36+ succeeds the earlier Nord Star 36 (2017–2022) but is a distinct current-generation model with a larger interior. It is also offered as the 36+ Fly, a flybridge variant that replaces the hardtop with a solid, fully-built flybridge carrying a second (upper) helm, an L-shaped sofa and a dining area for about five; it shares the 36+ hull, dimensions and engine range and was shown internationally at the 2022 Southampton Boat Show.
