Grandezza 34 OC
The Grandezza 34 OC is a 10.03-metre hardtop sportscruiser built by Grandezza in Kokkola, Finland. It arrived in 2017 as a lightly stretched, better-glazed development of the 33 OC, gaining an extended integrated swim platform and larger hull windows. The layout puts a galley and dining area in the sheltered open cockpit under a hardtop with a powered sunroof, with a forward cabin, a mid cabin and a separate bathroom below. It is a CE category B boat for eight persons, with four permanent berths plus two. Power is by sterndrive only, either a single large Volvo Penta diesel or twin smaller Yanmar or MerCruiser units.
The 34 OC sits in the middle of the current Grandezza fleet and is the yard's interpretation of the Nordic hardtop cruiser: a fully enclosed helm and saloon area forward, and an aft cockpit that works as the boat's real living space. Grandezza places the galley aft rather than below, so the cooking, dining and helm areas all open into one another when the sunroof and the sliding side door are open. Below deck there is a forward cabin with a double berth and an integrated fill-in cushion, a mid cabin with a double berth, and a bathroom with a separate shower enclosure. The hull is glassfibre in a vacuum-injected full sandwich laminate, a construction Grandezza uses across the range for stiffness and weight.
The model replaced the 33 OC. The hull carried over largely unchanged, but overall length grew by roughly a foot thanks to a longer integrated swim platform, the hull windows were enlarged, the main cabin berth gained an extending section, and the convertible dinette was replaced by a large fixed sunbed as standard. That makes used 33 OC and 34 OC boats close relatives, and buyers comparing the two are mostly comparing platform length, glazing and standard equipment rather than hull behaviour. Note that the yard's own final 33 OC fact sheet and its current 34 OC sheet both print 10.03 m and a 3.23 m beam, which sits awkwardly with the press account of a stretch; the two sheets are recorded as published rather than reconciled.
Propulsion is sterndrive throughout, and the range has moved on since launch. Grandezza's current fact sheet offers a single Volvo Penta D6-380 or D6-440 on a DPI duoprop drive, twin Yanmar 4LV230s with JC10 joystick control, or twin MerCruiser 4.5-litre 250 hp SeaCore petrol units on Bravo drives, either with DTS controls or with JPS joystick piloting. The manufacturer quotes a maximum speed of about 35 knots and a cruising speed of 22 to 28 knots, with fuel consumption around 1.7 litres per nautical mile. The highest total installed power on the current sheet is the twin MerCruiser package at 500 hp; the single-engine Volvo option tops out at 440 hp.
Two data caveats are worth knowing. The specifications here come from Grandezza's 2025 English fact sheet, so the engine list reflects the current catalogue rather than what was offered in 2017 — the same sheet still carries a speed footnote referring to a D6 370 hp engine, a leftover from the earlier line-up, so early boats will show different options. Grandezza publishes draft as a two-part figure, 0.70/1.20 m; the 1.20 m value used here is the drive-down figure, and the 0.70 m hull-only figure is what most Nordic listing databases quote. Air draft is not published by the yard and has been left out rather than estimated.
