Nord Star 26+

The 26+ is the entry-level model in Nord Star's current '+' generation, which the family-owned Finnish builder Linex-Boat Oy of Kokkola introduced from around 2020. It continues the 8.60 m hull and layout of the earlier Nord Star 26 Patrol, sharing the same principal dimensions (8.6 m length, 2.8 m beam) while extending the engine range and quoted top speed; the Patrol version is documented separately.

Accommodation is arranged for two people sleeping plus flexible use: a forward sleeping cabin for two, a convertible saloon berth, a separate enclosed toilet/heads and a pantry, with an optional second cabin. The manufacturer quotes berths of 2(+1), a maximum of six persons aboard, and about 1.9 m of standing headroom in the main cabin. The insulated pilothouse gives all-weather protection, and reviewers of the shared hull note low helm noise for comfortable longer passages.

The boat is a walkaround pilothouse: wide, guard-railed side decks allow safe movement fore and aft, and both hull and superstructure are GRP. Nord Star rates it CE Design Category B (Offshore). Fuel capacity is a single 320-litre tank with a 53-litre fresh-water tank and 53-litre holding tank.

Power is either a single Volvo Penta diesel on a DuoProp sterndrive — options from the D4-230 up to the D6-380, plus a Yanmar 8LV370 — or, on the OB version, twin Mercury outboards (200 hp standard, 250 hp optional). The manufacturer states a maximum rated engine power of 445 kW and a maximum speed of up to 55 knots, with typical cruising at 20–34 knots; the outboard version is commonly quoted around 42–43 knots on twin 250s. Test reports of the hull praise its quick planing, strong low-end diesel torque via the DuoProp, and precise handling.
