Marex 440 Scandinavia

In production 2025–present Designed by Marex with VOM Creations (design), Nikl Design (naval architecture), Alpha Creations (engineering)

The Marex 440 Scandinavia is a 13.7 m hardtop cruiser with an enclosed saloon, launched at boot Düsseldorf in January 2025. It shares its hull and exterior with the 440 Gourmet Cruiser but has a smaller galley, an inside dinette and two or three cabins, with twin Volvo Penta D6 diesels on sterndrives, IPS pods or shafts.

Marex describes the Scandinavia as the second version of its 440 flagship. The first, the 440 Gourmet Cruiser of 2023, won European Powerboat of the Year 2024 in its class; both remain in the range and share hull and exterior. The Scandinavia debuted at boot Düsseldorf in January 2025. Exterior design is by Marex with VOM Creations, naval architecture by Nikl Design and engineering by Alpha Creations.

The planing hull has trim interceptors, pilot and co-pilot side doors, a sunroof, roll-out cockpit curtains and a hydraulic swim platform with tender chocks. Where the Gourmet Cruiser has a large U-shaped galley, the Scandinavia has a compact galley to starboard and a raised dinette to port that converts to a two-seat navigator bench. The standard layout has two cabins, each with its own head; an optional three-cabin layout has two twin cabins amidships sharing the second head.

All engine options are twin Volvo Penta D6: D6-440 on DPI sterndrives as standard, or D6-480 on DPI sterndrives, IPS650 pods or V-drive shafts. Marex quotes 31-32 knots with D6-440 sterndrives and 35-36 knots with IPS. Motor Boat & Yachting's first look called it evolution rather than revolution, and YachtBuyer's review preferred the two-cabin Scandinavia layout.
