Sargo 45

In production 2022–present

The Sargo 45 is a 14.6 m GRP pilothouse motorboat and the flagship of Sarins Båtar, launched in 2022 as an entirely new model under the Sargo brand and the yard's first boat over 40 feet. It is aimed at owners wanting year-round, all-weather cruising, with a single-level deck, side doors, a heated wheelhouse and a choice of two- or three-cabin layouts sleeping four or six. It is offered with twin Volvo Penta D6-440 sterndrives or twin IPS650 pods.

The Sargo 45 is a post-rebrand model: Sarins Båtar built under the Minor name until it launched the SARGO brand on 9.6.2014, and the manufacturer's history page records '2022: New SARGO 45 presented'. It was therefore never sold as a Minor. It is the largest boat the yard has built, described by the company as its first model over 40 feet after 55 years in business.

The hull measures 14.60 m overall with a 4.25 m beam and 1.20 m draft, and a dry weight of 12,000 kg with twin engines. Accommodation is offered as a two-cabin version sleeping four or a three-cabin version sleeping six, with two separate toilets with shower. The forward main cabin has a 160 x 200 cm double; the aft cabin has two singles convertible to a double; the optional middle cabin adds a 140 x 200 cm double. The wheelhouse seats four forward and includes an eight-person dining area and galley, with wide side doors, a gate in the hull side and a single-level deck.

Two engine choices are published: twin Volvo Penta D6-440 DPI sterndrives as standard, or twin Volvo Penta IPS650 pods rated 480 hp each for 960 hp total. Fuel capacity is 1,600 litres standard with 400 litres of water. Motor Boat & Yachting recorded 35.7 knots top speed on IPS650 test engines, with 88 lph at 20 knots and 66.4 dB(A) at that speed.

Reception has been strong. YachtBuyer's Jack Haines scored it 4.5/5, concluding that the 45 sits proudly at the top of a very talented range of boats, while criticising the near-million-euro price and plain interior; MBY praised its unglamorous practicality. A flybridge version, the Sargo 45 Fly, was announced for world premiere at boot Düsseldorf in January 2026.
