The Manhattan 55 is the middle generation of three closely related Sunseeker flybridge yachts sharing a 17.21 m hull, built in Poole, England. It replaced the Manhattan 52 in 2021 and was itself replaced by the Manhattan 56 in 2026, with Sunseeker building 103 units in between. Three cabins sleep up to six guests.

The Manhattan 55 measures 17.21 m overall on a 4.87 m beam, with a full-load draft of 1.26 m and a half-load displacement of 27,000 kg; hull and superstructure are GRP. These dimensions are identical to the Manhattan 52 Mk2 that preceded it and the Manhattan 56 that succeeded it in 2026 -- all three are the same 17.21 m x 4.87 m platform carried through three successive restyles, not three unrelated hulls. Sunseeker credits its own team as exterior designer and naval architect, with Design Unlimited as interior designer. Motor Boat & Yachting noted the 55's exterior update over the 52 added larger glass windows, carbon-fibre trim elements and stainless steel rails in place of wire guardrails.

Three cabins accommodate up to six guests: a full-beam master en-suite, and a VIP and twin cabin sharing a bathroom, with two guest heads, a shared day head and an optional single crew cabin. The layout runs a galley-aft arrangement with a cockpit bar and an open salon-to-cockpit flow, plus the flybridge and aft 'Beach Club' transom seen across the range.

Sunseeker's own spec sheet lists a single engine option, twin Volvo Penta D13-800 diesels at 800 hp (588 kW) each for 1,600 hp combined, giving a 30-knot top speed, 25-knot cruise and a maximum range of 250 nm at 25 knots. Other reporting describes a second, pod-drive option on the same D13 block -- Volvo Penta IPS1050 -- following the same shaft-or-pod choice already offered on the Manhattan 52. Motor Boat & Yachting's own sea trial recorded a top speed of just under 33 knots with the shaft-drive engines, higher than Sunseeker's quoted 30 knots; both figures are given here rather than one silently preferred.

Sunseeker introduced the Manhattan 55 in 2021 as a restyled successor to the Manhattan 52 on the same hull, and built 103 units before replacing it with the Manhattan 56 at boot Dusseldorf in January 2026. Motor Boat & Yachting's review of the 55 called it 'big, typically bold and luxuriously finished... a useful reminder of Sunseeker's flybridge prowess,' praising the galley-aft layout and cockpit bar; YachtBuyer's Aquaholic review scored it a 5, describing a 'best-in-class flybridge' with 'three good cabins' and 30-knot performance.
