Sunseeker Ocean 156

The Ocean 156 has a 25.14 m GRP semi-displacement hull and superstructure with a 6.56 m beam and a 1.86 m full-load draft. Displacement is 74,630 kg, with 8,500 litres of fuel and 1,500 litres of fresh water aboard. Unlike Sunseeker's other Ocean models, which adapt an existing flybridge hull, Sunseeker designed the 156 from the keel up as a three-deck yacht with internal accommodation on all three levels and a fully enclosed upper helm.

The standard layout sleeps eight guests in four cabins -- a master, VIP suite and two further guest cabins on the lower deck -- with an optional five-cabin, ten-guest arrangement. Design Unlimited is credited with the interior; Sunseeker's in-house team handled the naval architecture and exterior as on the rest of the range. A trade review judged the 156's tri-deck layout better balanced than the larger Ocean 182/90 Ocean Enclosed, trading some open flybridge deck space for interior volume.

Sunseeker offers twin MAN diesels on shaft drives: the V8-1300 standard at 1,300 PS per engine, and the V12-1650 as an upgrade at 1,650 PS, giving a maximum output of 3,300 PS. Reported performance is a 25-knot top speed on the larger engines, with the yard citing a comfortable planing range of 20-22 knots and roughly 900 nautical miles at a 12-knot cruise.

Sunseeker unveiled the Ocean 156 in 2024, debuting it at the Cannes Yachting Festival and Southampton Boat Show that year and following with a full launch at FLIBS; it won Best Innovation in the 80'-98' category at the World Yacht Trophies 2024. The model has since continued in Sunseeker's range under a length-based name, the 82 Ocean Enclosed, with unchanged hull dimensions; this entry keeps the sync's original 'Ocean 156' name.
