Sunseeker Ocean 90
The Sunseeker 90 Ocean is a 27.10 m GRP flybridge motor yacht built by Sunseeker International in Poole, England, launched in 2021 as the founding model of Sunseeker's Ocean range. It has an open flybridge, sleeps up to eight guests in four cabins, and remains in production alongside an enclosed-flybridge sibling built on the same hull.
The 90 Ocean has a 27.10 m GRP hull and superstructure with a 7.16 m beam and a 1.94 m full-load draft, on twin shaft drives. Half-load displacement is 82,300 kg, with 13,000 litres of fuel, 1,500 litres of fresh water and 800 litres of black water capacity. Sunseeker describes the hull as delivering roughly 20% more overall volume and nearly 30% more deck space than comparable yachts of its size, largely from its beam and an upright bow that brings volume forward.
The layout puts four cabins and four ensuite/day heads below and on the main deck, with crew quarters separate from the guest areas. A defining feature is the 'Beach Club', a stern platform Sunseeker describes as roughly four times the area of a conventional bathing platform, and an open flybridge some 25% larger than comparable yachts, with an optional infinity spa pool and second BBQ station. The foredeck seating area converts into an open-air cinema with a 140-inch screen.
Sunseeker offers the 90 Ocean with twin MAN V12 diesels on shaft drives, in three ratings: the V12-1650 at 1,650 PS, the V12-1900 at 1,900 PS, and the V12-2000 at 2,000 PS each, the last giving the model's maximum output of 4,000 PS. Sunseeker quotes a top speed of up to 27 knots, a 20-knot cruise, and a range of about 1,100 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Launched in 2021, the 90 Ocean won Best Layout (24-30m) at the World Yachts Trophies 2021, Innovation of the Year at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2022, and Best Custom Yacht at the 2023 Motor Boat Awards. Sunseeker later added an enclosed-flybridge derivative on the same 27.10 m hull, marketed for a period under the Ocean range's gross-tonnage-based naming as the Ocean 182 before reverting to the 90 Ocean Enclosed name; the open-flybridge 90 Ocean described here continues alongside it.
