Sunseeker 88 Yacht
The Sunseeker 88 Yacht is a 26.38 m flybridge motor yacht built by Sunseeker in Poole, England. The current, second-generation model launched in 2021 on the hull mould of the outgoing 86 Yacht and sits between the 76 Yacht and the larger 95/100 Yacht models in Sunseeker's current range.
The 88 Yacht is 26.38 m (86'7") long overall, with a 6.47 m beam and a 2.12 m draft; Sunseeker's own principal-characteristics table lists a displacement of 77,300 kg. Hull and superstructure are GRP, with a teak deck option. Naval architecture and exterior styling are Sunseeker's own in-house work, with the interior credited to Design Unlimited. This second-generation 88 launched in 2021, reusing the hull of the 2014–2021 86 Yacht with updated styling and equipment; an unrelated first-generation 88 Yacht had run from 2010 to 2014, before the 86 replaced it in the line-up.
The standard four-cabin, eight-guest layout has a full-beam owner's suite amidships, a VIP cabin and two twin cabins, all en suite, with crew quarters for up to four across two cabins. The galley sits forward next to the helm as a closable crew zone reached by a single below-decks staircase — a layout change from the 86's arrangement. Sunseeker's "Beach Club" transom, with its X-TEND sunbed that converts between a raised cockpit position and a water-level platform, is a signature feature, and the flybridge carries a full entertaining area with its own bar.
Sunseeker offers the 88 Yacht with a choice of three twin-shaft MTU diesel packages: 10V 2000 M96L rated at 1,622 PS each, 12V 2000 M96L at 1,950 PS each, and the range-topping 12V 2000 M96X at 2,000 PS each (4,000 hp combined). With the largest engines fitted, reviewers report a top speed close to 30 knots and a displacement-speed range of over 1,000 nm at 10 knots, extending beyond 3,000 nm with the optional trim/range-extending pumps engaged.
YachtBuyer's review rated the 88 Yacht 4 out of 5, praising its "beautiful detailing" and handling while noting the forward galley position as a compromise some buyers weigh against rivals' foredeck-first layouts, adding "it's easy to see why the Sunseeker 88 has been such a popular model." Motor Boat & Yachting has featured the model in its video walkthroughs, and it remains part of Sunseeker's current range in 2026.
