Nord West 560 Flybridge

Nord West presented the 560 at the Gothenburg boat show in 2003 as a further development of the design it had introduced with the Nord West 390 in 2000, and its press release called the 560 the biggest boat at that show. The yard's founder, Benny Martinsson, is credited with its design and construction, and the yard's specification names Det Norske Veritas as the CE certifier. Martinsson's own site gives the production years as 2003-2013.

The hull is hand-laid GRP sandwich with a Divinycell core, and the interior is unstained mahogany with a varnished teak sole. In the 2003 specification, the owner's cabin is forward, with its own toilet and separate shower. A dinette that converts into extra berths sits opposite the L-shaped galley. To starboard, a guest cabin with a double and a single berth shares a guest toilet and shower, and aft to port is a cabin with a double berth, its own toilet and a washer-dryer. The yard offered three- or four-cabin versions and quoted sleeping for up to nine. The saloon has a U-shaped sofa and a bar with sink, ice maker and TV. The flybridge has a grill, fridge and sink.

At launch, the standard installation was twin 715hp Volvo Penta D12 diesels driving surface-piercing propellers with integrated rudders. The yard said the system was new to Scandinavia and promised higher top speed, better economy at cruising speed, less noise and a shallower draught. A 2003 boat with this installation was later advertised with a top speed of about 32 knots. Martinsson's site lists shafts or surface drives. The later yard specification, archived up to 2010, lists twin Volvo Penta IPS 850 pod drives of 670hp each, a length of 17.3 m, 2,500 litres of fuel, and a displacement of 23,300 kg with empty tanks or 26,000 kg with full tanks.
