Sunseeker Manhattan 52

This Manhattan 52 is the second-generation (Mk2) model, introduced in 2016; an earlier, smaller-hulled Manhattan 52 ran from 2007 to 2011 and is a different boat. The Mk2 measures 17.21 m overall (including pulpit) on a 4.87 m beam, with a full-load draft of 1.26 m including props and a half-load displacement of 27,000 kg; hull and superstructure are GRP. Sunseeker credits its own in-house team as exterior designer, interior designer and naval architect.

Three cabins accommodate up to six guests: a full-beam master en-suite, and a VIP and twin cabin sharing a bathroom, with two guest heads, a shared day head and a crew cabin with its own head for one crew member. The layout runs an open-plan salon flowing to the cockpit, with a large flybridge above, and a convertible transom 'beach club' with barbecue and shower.

Two engine options were offered: twin Volvo Penta D11-725 diesels on conventional shaft drive, 725 hp (533 kW) each for 1,450 hp combined and a 29-knot top speed; or the same D11-725 block paired with Volvo Penta IPS950 pod drives, same power but a 31-knot top speed. Cruising speed is 21 knots with a maximum range of 470 nm at 10 knots.

Sunseeker introduced this Mk2 Manhattan 52 in 2016 and built it through 2021, when the nameplate changed to Manhattan 55 on what is, dimensionally, the same 17.21 m x 4.87 m hull carried forward with updated styling; that same hull was restyled again in 2026 as the Manhattan 56. These are three successive design generations of one platform rather than three unrelated boats.
