Sunseeker 86 Yacht

The 86 Yacht is 26.3 m (86'3") long overall with a 6.47 m beam and a full-load draft of 1.95 m; yachtbuyer.com records a full-load displacement of about 67,000 kg (147,710 lb). Hull and superstructure are GRP, designed and built in-house by Sunseeker. It was launched in September 2014, taking over the range slot vacated by the 2010–2014 88 Yacht.

The standard four-cabin layout places a full-beam master suite midships and a VIP suite forward, with two twin/convertible cabins aft, sleeping up to eight guests; a five-cabin option was also offered, plus crew quarters for up to four in two cabins. The flybridge is long and wide enough to store a personal watercraft, and the foredeck carries a sunbed, table and sofa. A hydraulically lowered platform forms the tender garage, sized for a 3.85 m RIB and upgradeable to 4.45 m, and a side balcony can be deployed when the yacht is at rest.

Standard engines were twin MTU 10V 2000 M96L diesels at 1,600 hp each, with an optional pair of 12V 2000 M96L units at 1,920 hp each, driving conventional shafts. A Motor Boat & Yachting test (first run in 2015) cites slightly different figures for the same two engines — 1,622 hp and 1,950 hp — which this file treats as the same two options, noting MBY's numbers as a minor, unresolved discrepancy. On test with the standard engines MBY recorded a 26.2-knot top speed and roughly 500 nm of range in the mid-to-upper teens; the optional engines were quoted at up to 31 knots.

MBY's test praised the 86's "superb headroom" in the engine room and found it felt "like a big yacht for its length" despite its size. A 2022 Denison Yacht Sales review of a later example called the layout "really well thought out" for both owner-operator and charter use, highlighting its three helm stations. Sunseeker discontinued the 86 Yacht in 2021, replacing it with a second-generation 88 Yacht built on the same hull mould.
