Sunseeker Predator 60
The Sunseeker Predator 60 Mk2 is a 19.37 m GRP sportscruiser built by Sunseeker International in Poole, England, and sold from 2010 to 2014. It succeeded the original 1999-2001 Predator 60 and was in turn replaced by the Predator 60 EVO.
The Predator 60 Mk2 was built by Sunseeker International in Poole between 2010 and 2014, the second generation to carry the name after an original Predator 60 sold from 1999 to 2001, and it was succeeded by the Predator 60 EVO. Sunseeker's own specification describes an enclosed, hardtop sportscruiser (offered as either an opening hardtop or fixed hardtop) with a large main deck for dining and entertaining and hand-finished sunpads fore and aft. Length overall is 19.37 m including pulpit, beam 5.10 m, and draught at full load 1.52 m on shaft drive; half-load displacement is 32,000 kg.
Below decks, the boat sleeps up to six guests across three cabins - a full-beam master suite plus two guest cabins, one convertible between a double and two singles - with two guest heads and a shared day head. Fuel capacity is 3,000 litres and fresh water 700 litres, with a 185-litre black-water tank. The Predator 60 Mk2 won the Best Motor Yacht 40'-75' award at the 2011 Asian Marine & Boat Awards and Best Production Motor Yacht (15-24m) at the 2010 Asia Boating Award.
Motor Boat & Yachting sea-trialled a 2010 Predator 60 from Poole to Yarmouth in Force 6 winds, recording a top speed of 34.8 knots and a cruising figure of 30.8 knots (198 miles at 2,100 rpm) or 23.6 knots (249 miles at 1,700 rpm) on the standard twin MAN V8 diesels, 1,200 hp each at 2,350 rpm - eight-cylinder, 16.2-litre units - for a combined 2,400 hp. The reviewer called it 'a 30-tonne monster that belies its enormity with its agility and addictive handling', praising the ride and the well-specified cockpit wet-bar, while criticising a cheap-looking dash and cockpit handholds. Other engine choices were reportedly offered alongside the standard MAN shaft-drive package, including Volvo Penta IPS pod drives and Arneson surface drives, but online sources describing them conflate figures with the later Predator 60 EVO, so they are not catalogued here as confirmed Mk2 options.
The Predator 60 Mk2 sat above the Predator 57 and below the Predator 74 in Sunseeker's range through most of its production run, aimed at owners wanting flybridge-free, high-speed cruising with proper liveaboard accommodation.
