The Volvo Penta D6-340 is the 340 hp rating of the D6, a 5.5-litre six-cylinder common-rail turbodiesel for sterndrive and inboard installations.
The D6-340 is the entry rating of Volvo Penta's D6 family, a 5.5-litre in-line six-cylinder common-rail turbodiesel offered as an Aquamatic sterndrive or inboard package. It is the smallest D6 option in the Targa 25.1 and 27.2 and a twin option in the Targa 32. A first-generation D6-340 also existed, rated 250 kW (340 hp) at 3400 rpm on Volvo Penta's 04-2019 DPH sheet; the figures here are the post-2021 engine.
