Volvo Penta Marinmotor

D2-60

I produktion 2016–nu

The Volvo Penta D2-60 is a 2.2-litre turbocharged four-cylinder marine diesel rated at 60 hp (44 kW) crankshaft power. Introduced in December 2016 as part of the emissions-driven replacement of the D2-55, it is essentially a de-tuned D2-75.

The D2-60 sits between the naturally aspirated D2-50 and the D2-75 in Volvo Penta's 2.2-litre four-cylinder range. It is the turbocharged, charge-air-cooled build of the same 84 x 100 mm block, rated over a 2700-3000 rpm band, and it shares its dry weight, footprint and 150S saildrive with the D2-75 - the difference between the two is fuelling, not hardware. It became available in December 2016 alongside the D2-50 to give the range engines certified to the current Recreational Craft Directive after the D2-55 was withdrawn. Typical applications are 38-45 ft cruising sailboats and small motor cruisers, on shaft drive through an HS25A or MS25 gearbox or on the 150S saildrive.
