Volvo Penta Marinmotor

D1-30

I produktion 2004–nu

The Volvo Penta D1-30 is a 1.13-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder marine diesel rated at 28.4 hp (20.9 kW) crankshaft power, the largest engine in the D1 range. It is a sailboat and small-cruiser auxiliary offered with a mechanical reverse gear or the 130S saildrive.

The D1-30 tops out Volvo Penta's D1 range and replaced the MD2030. It uses a larger-bore version of the family's cast-iron industrial block - 77 mm bore against the D1-13 and D1-20's 67 mm - and is otherwise the same freshwater-cooled, naturally aspirated, mechanically injected three-cylinder, rated across a 2800-3200 rpm band with a 115 A alternator. It is the usual auxiliary in 30-36 ft cruising sailboats and appears in small displacement motor cruisers too. Six matched transmissions were offered; the common pairings are the MS10A/MS10L and MS15A/MS15L reverse gears for shaft drive and the 130S saildrive. Letter revisions (A, B, C, F and so on) reflect emissions certification and detail changes rather than a change in rating and are treated here as one engine.
