Yanmar saildrive

SD25

Current Yanmar small saildrive with a dog clutch and 2.64:1 reduction, matched to the 1GM10, 2YM15, 3YM20 and 3YM30AE; the 2015 successor to the SD20.

The SD25 is a Yanmar-designed saildrive with a mechanical dog clutch, a single 2.64:1 ratio ahead and astern, an SAE #6 bell housing and a dry weight of 30 kg (33.4 kg with the extension leg, per the operation manual). Yanmar builds it to bolt directly to the dedicated marine housings of its small engines, and lists it for the 1GM10, 2YM15, 3YM20 and 3YM30AE.

It was released in 2015 together with the 3YM30AE and replaced the SD20, keeping the SD20's outline and dimensions; it is distinguished by light grey non-metallic paint on the leg and a hard-anodised finish for better corrosion resistance. It remains in Yanmar's current drive line-up.
