Yanmar Gearbox

KM35P

Kanzaki-built parallel-shaft cone-clutch gear with 2.36 or 2.61:1 forward, Yanmar's current shaft gear for the 3JH and naturally aspirated 4JH engines.

The KM35P is a mechanical servo cone-clutch marine gear with an in-line output, developed by Kanzaki for sailboat use. Kanzaki and Yanmar give an input torque rating of 129 Nm at 3,800 rpm, forward ratios of 2.36 and 2.61:1 with a 3.16:1 reverse, a dry weight of 12 kg, 0.5 L of oil and a standard SAE #5 flange (other SAE and Borg-Warner sizes optional).

Yanmar lists it for the 3JH5E, 3JH40, 4JH5E, 4JH45 and 4JH57. It continues the ratios of the older KM3P and is a current product; the down-angle alternative is the KM35A.
