KM3P

Kanzaki-built parallel-shaft cone-clutch reverse gear that Yanmar fitted to the 3GM30F and the JH3-series diesels; succeeded by the KM35P.

The KM3P is a mechanical cone-clutch marine gear with an in-line output, one step up from the KM2P. Yanmar's GM operation manual lists it for the 3GM30(F), and the 3JH3/4JH3 operation manual lists it for the 3JH3E and 4JH3E with forward ratios of 2.36 and 2.61:1 and a 3.16:1 reverse. The GM manual also shows a 3.20:1 forward option for the 3GM30F.

Kanzaki's service manuals group it with the KM3A, KM4A, KBW20, KBW21 and KMH4A (published 1998). Its successor in Yanmar's current range is the KM35P, which keeps the 2.36 and 2.61:1 ratios.
