KM3A
Kanzaki-built 7-degree down-angle cone-clutch reverse gear fitted by Yanmar to the 3JH3E and 4JH3E; predecessor of the KM35A.
The KM3A is the down-angle counterpart of the KM3P: a mechanical cone-clutch gear with a single stage for ahead and astern. Yanmar's 3JH3/4JH3 operation manual lists it for the 3JH3E and 4JH3E with forward ratios of 2.33 and 2.64:1 and a 3.04:1 reverse, and illustrates the engine with the KM3A fitted.
Its current successor is the KM35A, which keeps the same ratios.
