Princess V50

Princess has used the V50 name three times. YachtBuyer lists a first V50 from 1998 to 2005. The second, launched in 2018, was a restyled version of the V48 hull: 15.8 m with the pulpit, 4.11 m beam, 1,325 litres of fuel and twin Volvo IPS 600 (2 x 435 mhp) for a quoted 30-32 knots, with an optional third cabin in place of the lower saloon.

The current V50 used new hull, deck and canopy moulds. It was designed by the Princess Design Studio with naval architects Olesinski and the Italian design house Pininfarina, and it debuted at boot Duesseldorf in January 2022. Below decks are a full-beam master stateroom amidships and a forward en-suite cabin that doubles as the day head, with an open galley opposite a lounge. A Volvo Penta assisted docking system, Naim audio and a Garmin OnDeck remote-monitoring system are part of the package.

Princess offered twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 or IPS 650 at launch, and its current specification lists IPS 650 (2 x 480 mhp) for 29-31 knots. Power & Motoryacht's Kevin Koenig recorded 32 knots with the IPS 600s in 2022 and called the boat 'a very dialed-in example of what the builder is all about'.
