V12-600

In production 2021–present

The Mercury Verado V12-600 is a naturally aspirated 7.6-litre 64-degree V12 petrol outboard rated 600 hp, current since 2021, with a two-speed gearbox and a steerable gearcase.

The V12-600 is Mercury's only current Verado rating on the 7.6-litre V12 powerhead, introduced on 11 February 2021. Architecture is a narrow-angle 64-degree V12 with 48-valve quad-cam DOHC and electronic fuel injection. The powerhead stays fixed on the transom; an electro-hydraulic steerable gearcase turns independently, and a two-speed automatic transmission sits between the powerhead and a 6.4-inch contra-rotating gearcase (published second-gear ratio 2.50:1). Advanced MidSection mounts isolate the engine. Mounting centres are 27 inches. Shaft lengths are 20, 25, 30 and 35 inches.

It did not replace a previous Verado of the same name. The same 7.6-litre V12 is also sold as the commercial SeaPro 500, which is not a Verado catalog rating and is not this row. This engine is not the older supercharged 2.6-litre L6 Verado family.

Mercury publishes dry weight 1260 lb / 572 kg for the lightest model (20-inch shaft, excluding oil, rigging and hardware). WOT range is 5600–6400 rpm. Full output is calibrated for 87-octane / 90 RON petrol.
