The Mercury SeaPro 500 is a naturally aspirated 7.6-litre V12 commercial petrol outboard rated 500 hp, current since 2021. It is not a Verado catalog rating.
The SeaPro 500 is the commercial duty rating of Mercury's 7.6-litre V12, announced with the Verado V12-600 on 11 February 2021 (brochure 90-8M0180503). Same architecture: 64-degree V12, 48-valve quad-cam, two-speed gearbox, steerable contra-rotating gearcase. WOT is 5000–5800 versus the Verado 600's 5600–6400. Official dry weight 1260 lb / 572 kg lightest. power_kw is not printed on the official sheet.
Do not alias as Verado 500 or V12-600. The Racing 500R is a supercharged 4.6 L V8.
