The Mercury Racing 250R is a naturally aspirated 4.6-litre V8 four-stroke outboard rated 250 hp (186 kW).
The 250R is the 250 hp Racing calibration of the same 4.6-litre V8 as the 300R, launched May 2018 to replace the two-stroke OptiMax 250XS. Official figures are 250 hp / 186 kW, WOT 5600–6200, lightest dry 520 lb / 236 kg.
It is not the recreational V8-250. Do not alias Verado 250 or Pro XS 250.
