The Mercury Racing 60R is a naturally aspirated 1.0-litre inline-four SOHC four-stroke outboard rated 60 hp (41 kW), a flats/tactical short-shaft engine.
The 60R, launched February 2020, is a four-cylinder 1.0-litre (60.8 cid) long-stroke SOHC powerhead on a 15-inch midsection with a high-thrust gearcase at 2.33:1. Official figures are 60 hp / 41 kW, WOT 5800–6300, dry weight 268 lb / 122 kg.
It is not the recreational 60 FourStroke 995 cc and not the 60 APX competition motor.
