300R

In production 2018–present

The current Mercury Racing 300R is a naturally aspirated 4.6-litre 64-degree V8 four-stroke outboard rated 300 hp (224 kW).

The 300R is the hotter Racing calibration of the 4.6-litre (279 cid) 64-degree 32-valve DOHC V8 launched with the 250R in May 2018. Official rating is 300 hp / 224 kW on a 5800–6400 rpm WOT band. It is not the recreational V8-300 and not the old supercharged 2.6-litre L6 Verado 300.

The February 2024 brochure publishes a lightest dry weight of 512 lb / 232 kg on a 20-inch CMS. The August 2025 15-inch HD CMS SKU is 545 lb / 247 kg — same powerhead, different hang, so this row uses the official lightest 232 kg.
