135 FourStroke
The Mercury 135 FourStroke is a naturally aspirated 3.0-litre inline-four petrol outboard, a 135 hp rating of the same block as the 150 FourStroke, launched in 2015.
This is the naturally aspirated 3.0 L FourStroke 135, not the 1.7 L supercharged Verado 135 (discontinued after model year 2009, 510 lb / 231 kg). Mercury launched it in February 2015 as a compact 135 hp EFI on the 150's 3.0 L inline-four, aimed at boats whose transoms are rated 135 or 140 hp. It is still current in ANZ and other markets in 2026.
Shared with the 150: 8-valve SOHC inline four, 3.0 L, 102 × 92 mm, 1.92:1 4.9-inch gearcase, 20/25 in shafts, lightest dry weight 455 lb / 206 kg. Factory tables state 135 / 101 kW.
Wide-open-throttle range is contested (4800–5300 in the 2015 launch article versus 5000–5800 on some current dealer tables) and is omitted rather than picked. There is no Pro XS 135.
