V10-400
The Mercury Verado V10-400 is a naturally aspirated 5.7-litre 64-degree V10 petrol outboard rated 400 hp, introduced in 2022 and still current.
The V10-400 is the original upper rating of Mercury's 5.7-litre V10 Verado family, announced 15 November 2022 with the first V10 350. It remains in the current catalog; the July 2025 launch added a 425 and an enhanced 350 and left this 400 in place.
Architecture is a 64-degree V10 with 40-valve quad-cam DOHC, Advanced MidSection and a 6.4-inch gearcase at 2.08:1. Mercury's October 2025 sell sheet gives WOT 5800–6400 rpm, 5.7 L (349 CID), dry weight 695 lb / 316 kg lightest model, and HP/kW 400/294. Shaft lengths are 20/25/30/35 inches. Mounting centres are 26 inches.
This 5.7-litre naturally aspirated V10 is not the 2010s supercharged 2.6-litre L6 Verado 400 or 400R, and it is not the Mercury Racing 400R (a hotter calibration of the same V10 family, loaded as its own row).
