D4-300

The D4-300 is an upper rating of Volvo Penta's D4 family, a 3.7-litre in-line four-cylinder common-rail diesel offered as an Aquamatic sterndrive or inboard package. Single installations power the Targa 23.1 and 25.1; twins the Targa 30.1 and 32. The D4-300 designation spans both D4 generations: the first-generation engine, introduced in 2007 and current until the 2021 refresh, was rated at the same 221 kW (300 hp) at 3500 rpm but was a DPH-drive package with its own weights. The figures here are the post-2021 engine — the two generations must not be read as one set of numbers.
