Volvo Penta Venemoottori

D1-13

Tuotannossa 2004–nykyhetkeen

The Volvo Penta D1-13 is a 0.51-litre naturally aspirated two-cylinder marine diesel rated at 12.2 hp (9.0 kW) crankshaft power, the smallest engine in the company's D1 range. It is a sailboat auxiliary, sold either with a mechanical reverse gear for shaft drive or with the 130S saildrive.

The D1-13 is the entry engine of the D1/D2 family Volvo Penta introduced in the mid-2000s to replace the older MD2010/2020/2030/2040 and 2000-series auxiliaries. It is a freshwater-cooled, naturally aspirated inline two-cylinder built on a cast-iron industrial base engine, with a cam-driven in-line injection pump, glow plugs and a 115 A alternator, and it is rated across a 2800-3200 rpm band rather than at a single speed. Its typical home is a 22-28 ft cruising sailboat. Almost every installation is either shaft drive through an MS10A/MS10L reverse gear or the 130S saildrive; on the saildrive version the engine is electrically isolated from the leg to limit galvanic corrosion. Later letter revisions (A, B, C, F and so on) track emissions certification and detail changes rather than any change in rating, so they are treated here as one engine.
