Nord West 370 Coupe

The Coupe was the second version of the 370, following the Flybridge in 2008. Motor Boat & Yachting called it a first for Nord West, whose range had until then been built around flybridge boats: a hardtop coupe sportscruiser as an alternative to a flybridge. The spec page gives the production years as 2008 to 2013.

The 370 hull was designed by Benny Martinsson, Nord West's owner and designer, and credited on the designer's own spec pages as 'Benny Martinsson, 2008'. PowerYacht Blog describes it as a variable-deadrise vee with a fine entry, drawn to work with both sterndrives and Volvo Penta IPS pods, and used unchanged under all four 370 versions: Flybridge, Coupe, Sport and SportsTop. All four share the yard's figures of 11.8 m length, 3.5 m beam, 1.2 m draft, about 9 tonnes, 800 l of fuel and 435 l of water, and the yard spec pages give 2008 or 2009 to 2013 as the production years.

Below deck the Coupe is identical to the Flybridge: five berths in three cabins and one heads with a shower stall. PowerYacht Blog describes an island double forward, a double to port and a single to starboard amidships. MBY describes the fifth berth as curtained off from the lobby. On the main deck are the helm, the galley and a C-shaped dinette under a hardtop whose full-size electric sunroof has two skylights, so some light comes in with it closed. A sliding door opens to the aft cockpit. Air draught is 4.3 m, or 3.4 m with the radar arch lowered.

The engines were twin Volvo Penta D4 diesels of 260 or 300 hp, or a D6 of 370 hp, on DPH sterndrives, or twin IPS400. The UK launch price was GBP 306,000 including VAT with twin D4-260 sterndrives. PowerYacht Blog tested an IPS400 boat in 2010 and recorded 32 knots at 3,500 rpm and a 28-knot cruise at 3,250 rpm using 96 l/h, for a range of 247 nautical miles. It rated the Coupe as one of Nord West's best designs and criticised only the narrow side decks.
