Yamarin 60 DC

The 60 DC is a moulded glassfibre monohull of 6.06 m overall, excluding the swim ladder, by 2.22 m. The owner's manual gives a draught of about 0.4 m at full load with the engine raised and an air draught of about 1.66 m at light load; the EU declaration of conformity states a hull draught of 0.39 m. Yamarin's brochure gives the V-bottom angle as 20 degrees. The styling follows the design language introduced on the 88 DC in 2018, with a streamlined hull and black side panels, and the hull is wider and longer than that of the 59 DC that occupied the same size class before it: 33 cm longer and 2 cm wider, according to Nettivene's test. The declaration of conformity, signed on 20 December 2019 by Inhan Tehtaat Oy Ab (Inha Works Ltd) of Raisio with DNV GL SE as notified body, certifies design category C, six persons, a maximum load of 870 kg and a maximum recommended engine power of 86 kW.

Forward of the cockpit is a cabin entered through a hinged door, lit and ventilated by two openable hull windows. Yamarin describes it as sleeping quarters for two adults, with stowage under the mattress and space for luggage; cabin mattresses and interior lighting are standard. In the cockpit the helm and co-driver's offshore seats rotate to face an aft bench that seats three, making a seating group for five, and a table is a factory option. A sundeck hinged beneath the aft bench, which folds out over the side decks without a separate table and can be left open under way, is also optional. Teak is standard on the foredeck and the aft swimming platforms and optional in the cockpit. Standard equipment includes hydraulic steering, a fixed 105-litre fuel tank, manual and electric bilge pumps, a Yamaha Y-COP immobiliser and a 10-inch Yamarin Q touchscreen that combines instruments, charts, engine data, manuals and entertainment.

Propulsion is a single outboard on an X-length (635 mm) shaft, with a maximum of 115 hp (86 kW); the manual states that the hull is not designed for more power and that the warranty does not apply if more is fitted. Yamarin's configurator currently offers the boat as a package with the Yamaha F100XB, F115XB or VF115XA, and earlier boats were delivered with the F115BETX. Yamarin quotes a maximum speed of 38 knots, the owner's manual records approximately 37 knots at the factory boat test, and Nettivene measured about 36 knots with an F115BETX, with a comfortable cruise around 25 knots. The cockpit is self-draining through a rainwater drain valve under the aft seat, which the manual says should be closed at maximum load.

The model was unveiled at the Gothenburg Boat Show on 31 January 2020 and shown at the Helsinki boat show the following week, and it was the fifth Yamarin to carry the 88 DC design language after the 88 DC, 63 DC, 63 BR and 46 SC. A revised trilingual owner's manual was issued in 2022 with an unchanged technical data table, and the model was still in the range in the 2026 brochure. Published weights need care: the owner's manual and the yamarin.com model page both give approximately 890 kg without engine, fluids and equipment, and the figure of 611 kg that appears beside the model in the brochure is the maximum-load column, which is the 870 kg builder's plate load less the 259 kg allowance for the engine.

Within the range the 60 DC is the entry point of the Yamarin Cruise day-cruiser family, below the 63 DC, 67 DC, 80 DC, 88 DC and the Aura, and above the open Ride and Open models. Yamarin and Buster boats are built by Inha Works, which has been owned by Yamaha Motor Europe since 2017, and Yamarin glassfibre boats are sold as packages with Yamaha outboards.
