Yamarin 59 SC

The 59 SC shares its glassfibre monohull with the 59 BR: 5.95 m overall, 2.27 m beam, approximately 0.55 m draught, and CE design category C for winds to 6 Beaufort and significant wave heights to 2 m. Inha Works describes the hull as carrying extra volume and beam for stability in turns and in waves. As on the bow rider, the deck is self-draining through a valve under the aft seat that is closed only at maximum load, and a manual bilge pump is fitted. Boat weight in the owner's manual is 803 kg, and maximum load on the builder's plate is 621 kg, comprising six persons at 75 kg each plus 171 kg of stores, basic equipment and liferaft.

The defining difference from the BR is the side console. Placed to one side and sized for two, it leaves a clear passage alongside so that the bow and stern can be reached without climbing over seating or through a windscreen walkthrough - the layout Yamarin positions for transporting people and supplies, for fishing and for other activities that need deck access. A high windscreen shelters the helm, and handrails run around it for support when moving past the console. The skipper's seat is wide and its backrest folds forward, turning the aft section into a seating area for five, and the aft sofa opens into a sunbed. Swimming platforms are fitted either side of the engine. Height above the waterline at light load is about 1.65 m, slightly more than the BR's 1.5 m.

Propulsion is a single Yamaha outboard on an L rig, with a maximum recommended power of 115 hp (86 kW) and maximum engine weight of 259 kg. Yamarin quotes a power range of 80 to 115 hp and names the F115 and F115LB in its own material; with the F115 it quotes about 37 knots maximum, an economical band of 10 to 21 knots and consumption of about 0.7 litres per nautical mile. The owner's manual records about 39 knots at the factory boat test for both 59 models.

Standard equipment includes seat cushions, the Yamarin Q smart display with Navionics electronic charts, hydraulic steering, Softdeck non-slip deck surfacing, LED deck lights, the fixed fuel tank and the Yamaha Y-COP immobiliser. Two factory packages are offered: the Comfort Edition with aft canopy and windscreen wiper, and the Premium Edition, which adds a console cover, table, water-skiing arch and an entertainment package with speakers and amplifier.

Yamarin announced the 59 SC on 10 May 2023, a few months after the 59 BR was shown at boot Dusseldorf in January of the same year, and presented it as an alternative to the bow riders that dominate the Finnish six-metre class rather than as a replacement for an earlier model. The two 59s are sister models on one hull, the BR the sportier and the SC the more utilitarian, and both sit below the 59 DC day cruiser in layout terms while sharing its size class. The model remains in production.
