Yamarin 63 BR

The current 63 BR is a moulded glassfibre monohull of 6.35 m overall, excluding the swim ladder, by 2.34 m, with a draught of about 0.4 m at full load with the engine raised and an air draught of about 1.7 m at light load. Yamarin's brochure gives the V-bottom angle as 19 degrees and describes the hull as having negative chines, which the yard credits for the boat's stability. The exterior follows the design language introduced on the 88 DC, with black side elements and black plexiglass details on the locker doors. The hull is shared with the cabin-equipped 63 DC. Design category C and a maximum recommended engine power of 112 kW are stated on the builder's plate.

The cockpit is laid out around twin consoles with a door between them giving access to the bow seating, and the boat is boarded at the stern over a swimming platform and steps with the aft backrest folded. Standard equipment includes an L-shaped aft sofa with a drop-down seat to starboard, an offshore helm seat, anchor boxes at bow and stern, a canopy garage, a fixed 160-litre fuel tank, hydraulic steering, a windscreen wiper on the driver's side, an integrated bow fender retainer, a Yamaha Y-COP immobiliser and a 10-inch Yamarin Q touchscreen; a 12-inch screen became optional with the 2025 update. Two sunbathing positions are available as options: the aft cockpit converts with an infill section for the L-sofa and the co-driver's backrest moved forward, and a second sundeck sits on the upper level of the swimming platform between the canopy garage and the engine, as on the 88 DC. A table, refrigerator, two-piece canopy, watersports bracket, teak floor and, from 2025, a factory bimini are further options.

The boat carries one outboard on an X-length shaft, rated at a maximum of 150 hp (112 kW). Yamarin's configurator currently offers it as a package with the Yamaha F150XCB, F150XSA or F150XC, and its boat-motor list also carries the F115BETX, F130AETX, F130XA, F150DETX, F150GETX, F150XB, F150XCA and VF150XA, covering the 115 to 150 hp range the yard publishes. With the F150XSA, Yamaha's electric steering and EHS power steering became available for the 2025 model year. Yamarin claimed more than 44 knots with 150 hp at the 2019 launch, while the 2022 owner's manual records approximately 42 knots at the factory boat test and the brochure and model page both quote 42 knots.

The name is older than the current boat. The first-generation 63 Bow Rider was declared conformant on 10 August 2009, with Fenix Marin Oy as manufacturer and Konekesko Oy Marine preparing the declaration, and measured 6.25 m by 2.26 m with a 107-litre tank, a weight of about 900 kg, eight persons and approximately 44 knots at the factory test; it was still being sold with a 2017 owner's manual. The second generation was announced on 20 September 2018 for the 2019 season as the second model after the 88 DC to carry the new design language, with more cockpit space than its predecessor, revised consoles and ergonomics and a larger fuel tank. For the 2025 model year both 63s received redesigned consoles with improved driver ergonomics and armrests, more co-driver stowage, and thicker cushions in lighter colours.

In the range the 63 BR is the largest of the Yamarin Ride bow riders, above the 59 BR and 50 BR, and is the open sister of the 63 DC. Published weights for the current boat disagree by a wide margin: the 2022 owner's manual gives approximately 1092 kg without engine, fluids and equipment, while the 2026 brochure and the yamarin.com model page both give 950 kg and the 2018 launch release gave about 880 kg. The manual's figure has been used here because the manual is the primary document, but it is higher than the 990 kg the same manual series gives for the cabin-equipped 63 DC on the same hull, so it may be an error in the manual. Yamarin and Buster boats are built by Inha Works, owned by Yamaha Motor Europe since 2017.
