Flipper 600 DC

The 600 DC is the day-cruiser version of the Flipper 600 series, three boats on a common 6.05 m glass-fibre hull with a 2.22 m beam and a 0.55 m draught. The series was designed by the Norwegian designer Espen Thorup, who designed the Flipper range of that period.

Unlike the 600 ST, the DC has only a windscreen rather than a roof. Kippari's 2015 test noted that it has no bulkhead dividing the bow berth area from the cockpit, which makes the bow easier to use for storage or seating, but that the foredeck extends further aft than on the ST, so the berths sit mostly under a low deck and usable interior space is smaller. The cockpit has an L-shaped sofa. The 2014 standard specification included a canopy, a sink, a teak-laminate cockpit floor, walk-through passages to the bow and stern, hydraulic steering and a 130-litre fuel tank; a 14-litre fresh water tank, a cockpit table and a cool box were options.

The boat is rated for 80–150 hp. The 2014 price list offered Mercury F80, F100, F115 and F150 L EFI four-stroke outboards, and the 2018 model page listed the F100, F115 and F150 EFI together with the 150 hp OptiMax Pro XS two-stroke.

The 600 DC was new in the 2014 range and was a finalist in the under-25-foot class of European Powerboat of the Year 2015. It appears on Flipper's model pages in June 2018 alongside the 640, 670 and 760 DC. By July 2019 the day-cruiser line-up began with the 650 DC and the 600 DC was no longer listed, while the SC and ST versions continued.

In the 2014 range the 600 DC was the smallest of four Flipper day cruisers, below the 640, 670 and 760 DC.
