Yamarin 63 DC

The current 63 DC is a moulded glassfibre monohull of 6.35 m overall, excluding the swim ladder, by 2.34 m, weighing approximately 990 kg without engine, fluids and equipment, with a draught of about 0.4 m at full load with the engine raised and an air draught of about 1.7 m at light load. Yamarin's brochure gives the V-bottom angle as 19 degrees, a figure an Australian test also reports as the deadrise, and the yard attributes the boat's stability to negative chines. The hull and the exterior design language are shared with the 63 BR and derive from the 88 DC. The builder's plate load is 1024 kg for six persons and the maximum recommended engine power is 112 kW.

The bow cabin is entered down central steps through a sliding door and has berths for two, mattresses as standard, stowage for luggage, large hull windows that open and a deck skylight. Aft of it the cockpit has an L-shaped sofa with a drop-down seat to starboard and helm and co-driver's seats that rotate to form a six-person seating group; a door in the windscreen gives access forward, and a two-level swimming platform with steps closes the stern. Standard equipment includes anchor boxes at bow and stern, a canopy garage, hydraulic steering, a fixed 160-litre fuel tank, a windscreen wiper on the driver's side, a Yamaha Y-COP immobiliser and a 10-inch Yamarin Q touchscreen. A table, sunbed, refrigerator and, from the 2025 model year, a factory bimini and a chemical toilet are options.

The boat takes one outboard on an X-length shaft, rated at a maximum of 150 hp (112 kW), and Yamarin publishes an engine power range of 115 to 150 hp. The configurator currently offers it as a package with the Yamaha F150XCB, F150XSA or F150XC, and its boat-motor list also carries the F130XA, F150XB, F150XCA and VF150XA. Speed figures cluster around 42 knots: the 2019 launch release claimed 43 knots with an F150, the 2022 owner's manual records approximately 42 knots at the factory boat test, the brochure and model page quote 42 knots, and boatsales measured 42.1 knots in Australia with a 150 hp extra-long-shaft Yamaha, reaching 22.6 knots at 3500 rpm.

The name covers two distinct boats. The first-generation 63 Day Cruiser was declared conformant on 20 October 2011, with Selio Boats Oy and Fenix Marin Oy as manufacturers and Konekesko Oy Marine preparing the declaration, and measured 6.25 m by 2.26 m in the declaration (2.30 m in its own spec table), with a 107-litre tank, about 910 kg, six persons and approximately 44 knots at the factory test; it was recertified under directive 2013/53/EU in October 2016 and sold with a 2017 owner's manual. The second generation was announced on 17 October 2019 for the 2020 season as the day-cruiser sister of the 63 BR, adding the bow cabin to that boat's open layout. Its first owner's manual, dated 2020, still carried the older figures of 6.31 m by 2.26 m and a 165-litre tank; the 2022 edition corrected these to 6.35 m by 2.34 m and 160 litres, matching the brochures and the model page. For the 2025 model year the 63 DC and 63 BR were given redesigned consoles with improved driver ergonomics and armrests, more co-driver stowage and thicker cushions in new upholstery patterns.

In the range the 63 DC sits in the Yamarin Cruise day-cruiser family between the 60 DC and the 67 DC, and it remained in production in the 2026 brochure. Yamarin and Buster boats are built by Inha Works, which has been owned by Yamaha Motor Europe since 2017, and Yamarin glassfibre boats are sold as packages with Yamaha outboards.
